Acura MDX UI Design
As a UX/UI Designer, I worked on the Acura RDX 2022 Amazon Alexa interfaces for the center screen. I am also involved in designing interfaces for upcoming Acura vehicles, proposing enhancements to improve usability. My focus includes the Audio, Map, Call, and Settings interfaces on the center screen, as well as the warning interface on the meter and the HUD. I analyze each interface in terms of consistency, understandability, redundancy, and difficulty. Additionally, I collaborate with engineers to implement finalized designs for production.
Acura MDX Seat Massage UI Redesign
The Acura MDX center screen is not a touchscreen; users interact with it through a touchpad. As a designer, I aimed to explore and experiment with gesture interactions. However, after testing the actual Acura MDX touchpad, I realized that, unlike the touchpad on a MacBook, it was not very sensitive. Given this limitation, I primarily focused on basic gesture interactions like tapping and eliminated more complex gestures like swiping. Additionally, I faced challenges testing the interfaces, as I could not test them with an actual massage seat and instead relied on predictions using a seated massage machine (BodyFriend).
